Changing the "Point " class name

Comment raised by UK during TC approval of CEN/TS 16157-2
Point class – Software libraries frequently have classes named Point, but the DATEX II Point is much more than those classes which typically have only coordinates.

The proposition is to call this PointLocation to suggest that there is more to this class than coordinates - it is a fully described NetworkLocation and a peer of Linear, which we would call LinearLocation.

Renaming the PredefinedLocationContainer class

Comment raised by UK during the TC approval of CEN/TS 16157-2.

"PredefinedLocationContainer" has used a different solution to the substitutable composite problem mentioned above in relation to GroupOfLocations. It has managed to avoid the term "GroupOfPredefinedLocations", but instead has introduced the term "Container", which is a pollution of the traffic-domain model with an information system concept.
It is suggested a conventional Composite design pattern.

Inconsistency between two realisations of the same location

CEN

Issue raised by UK during the stage "TC comment" of CEN TS 16157-2:
Comment: "Clarifying meaning of "without being exclusive". What is the interpretation if two methods are used to generate an irresolvable location?"

Proposal: woud it be better to make this an excusive choice?

Data Quality Publication Extension

Status definition refers to ISO 14817

Extension object
DataQualityPublication
Extension information

This is an initial draft of a proposed level B extension for a new Data Quality publication.

This publication provides a statement of generic quality metadata applicable over a period of time (consistent with ISO/TR 21707) for one or more specified DATEX II publication services available from a supplier. It contains metadata for each overall service and/or metadata for individual elements of data content provided by those services. The information contained in this publication may be suitable for being referenced in a Service Level Agreement (SLA) between a supplier and consumer (client).

The information contained in this publication is based on the guidance given in ISO/TR21707 and is intended to allow consumers of DATEX II services to be able to assess the (expected) quality of those services and thus be able to determine the suitability of those services for the consumer's intended purpose.

The full EA Model file and XML Schema which incorporate the proposed new DataQualityPublication as a level B extension of the level A model are downloadable below. Also the separate xmi export file just containing the Extension package is made available for download.

CCTV Publications Extension Updated

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Thursday, 24 June, 2010 - 16:24
Status definition refers to ISO 14817
Card
Extension object
CctvStatusPublication & CctvSiteTablePublication
Extension information

This is an updated version of the previous 1.0 that was published earlier. The only difference is that the earlier published extension was based erroneously on a version of the model that has not yet been published (Post 2.0 RC2). This one is based on 2.0RC2.

This is an initial draft of a proposed level B extension for a new pair of CCTV publications.
These publications cover the static and dynamic information associated with CCTV cameras. It allows CCTV information to be made available to other authorities and service providers who may wish to make use of the images from those cameras or to those who wish to monitor the status or potentially take control of CCTV cameras deployed on the road network. These publications do not provide any control functionality for CCTV cameras, although the published information may be of use to inform systems that do control CCTV cameras. They also do not provide the image or video information.

The publications are based on the requirements of the Highways Agency in England for data interfacing to their Traffic Camera Service and on requests from service providers (e.g. Google) to be able to access the HA’s CCTV camera metadata in a standard way which would make it easier for them to access CCTV camera images.
The full EA Model file and XML Schema which incorporate the proposed new CctvStatusPublication and CctvSiteTable Publication as level B extensions of the level A model are downloadable below. Also the separate xmi export file just containing the Extension package is made available for download.
