The DATEX II v1 service from NTIS was switched off at the end of September 2016 after 3 months consecutive emails to subscribers who have not migrated to the replacement DATEX II service. To help you migrate to the new DATEX II service, all of the design documentation and sample code in Java and ASP .Net and a JSON Toolkit is available on the subscriber pages of the new Traffic England website at http://www.trafficengland.com/subscribers.

Based on the DATEX II Platform Independent Model for data exchange (Exchange PIM), this document specifies the Exchange Platform Specific Model (Exchange PSM) for Web Services over http.
The term "Web Services" is used generically here, since profiles for the Web Services protocol stack (WSDL & SOAP) as well as plain HTTP exchange options are provided.
2 files describe the WSDL services, one for the Pull operating mode, the other for the Push operating modes.

Modelling methodology

This document is targeted towards all stakeholders that want to understand the modelling methodology applied throughout the DATEX II specifications. While this is potentially a wide range of readers, the document addresses specifically those users that intend to extend the DATEX II data model and therefore need to understand – and comply with – the modelling principles, the use of the Unified Modelling Language (UML) and other conventions for DATEX II modelling.

DATEX II v1.0 Data Model

The DATEX II v1.0 Data Model is the data model for DATEX II data exchange interfaces. It is modelled in UML and is a Platform Independent Model (PIM).
The top level entry point into the model is reached via the path "Logical:D2LogicalModel" which contains all publications, management information and exchange protocol meta-data for a DATEX II interface.
