This document provides an introduction to DATEX II and assistance in understanding the other DATEX II documents.

This is a guide to assist software developers who are tasked with developing DATEX II interfaces.

The DATEX II Exchange Platform Independent Model (Exchange PIM) has not been updated since the release of the v1.0 documentation set. Therefore all references to the Exchange PIM in this v2.0 release documentation set refer to the Exchange PIM in the v1.0 documentation set which can be downloaded from here.

Software that automatically generates a XML schema from a UML model. Requires Windows XP/Vista and Microsoft .Net framework 2.0.

XML Schema that has been automatically generated by the XML Schema generation tool from the DATEX II UML model. The XML schema is used by PSM’s.
The Zip archive includes two schemas, one with definitions and one without definitions.
